Greenhouse 

We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to our school: a brand new greenhouse! This exciting development opens up endless possibilities for hands-on learning, environmental stewardship, creativity and sustainable practices.

A massive congratulations to the children in the Senior Room who put in fantastic work as part of the Creative Clusters project to make this a reality for our school. This was a brilliant cross-curricular undertaking where the children: composed emails to a variety of companies in English, researched prices and measured areas and perimeters to research the best value for money in Maths, selected a suitable space for Geography and developed a whole host of skills including communication, teamwork, creativity, digital literacy and problem-solving.

We were extremely lucky to secure the Education for Sustainable Development Grant to put towards the cost of this greenhouse as it will serve as a dynamic learning space where we can explore the wonders of plant life, deepen student’s understanding of environmental science, connect to nature, reduce our environmental footprint and promote healthy eating habits and wellbeing.
