Good Start For Moyvore but Loughnavalley Take the Win

Moyvore’s first ever hurling game started off well but ended in tragedy. Their coach, Emer Scally says they did very well for their first ever hurling game. They had only started hurling training recently in their school, Moyvore National School. Their team was: Emma Maguire (1) in goals, Luke Finn (2) and Fionn Mcloughlin (3) in the backs, Joseph Maguire (4) and Jon Creagh-Dillon (5) in Mid field and Ryan McCaughey (6) and Seán Whelan (7) in the forwards.
Goals
Moyvore took a very early lead in first couple of minutes, scoring 1 goal and 1 point, both scored by Joseph Maguire. Loughnavalley then made a comeback of 2 goals and 1 point. Moyvore were soon to get a goal and make the game even again. By the time half time came, Loughnavalley was leading by 2 goals 4 points. After a brief team talk, Moyvore came back onto the pitch, hoping to win the game. Things did not go in Moyvore’s favour. Unfortunately, Moyvore only scored 2 goals compared to Loughnavalley’s 7 goals.
A Sad Loss
Although Moyvore put up a good fight, they lost in the end. Joseph Maguire, the team captain was happy with the result of the match. Even though they lost, Joseph Maguire says that he and the team had a lot of fun. Once the main match was finished, they had a game for the people who did not get onto the pitch. Again, things did not go to Moyvore’s favour. They lost to Loughnavalley once again by 2 goals and 2 points.
