Every Child a Reader

Every Child a Reader is a national programme from Children’s Books Ireland that supports reading and creativity in schools. We were incredibly lucky to have been selected to take part in this wonderful programme.

As part of the programme, an author worked with our pupils over six sessions, helping them to explore storytelling, develop their ideas and build confidence in their own creativity. It was a fantastic opportunity to inspire and encourage a lifelong love of reading, writing and creativity.

We were very fortunate to have been assigned Jennifer Farley, a talented author and illustrator, who worked with our pupils throughout the programme. We thoroughly enjoyed the six sessions and are very grateful for the wonderful experience and opportunities the programme provided for our school.
